What grade levels does the book cover?
These math games are suitable for all ages.
The Early Games booklet focuses on topics covered up to grade 2, but even adults can enjoy playing most of the games. The Primary Games booklet focuses on math in the upper-elementary grades, especially multiplication and fractions. And the Advanced Games booklet covers topics from pre-algebra to high school geometry.
All the books work together to build a strong foundation of strategic reasoning skills that prepares your children for mathematical success.

I have your previous Math You Can Play books; are these the same or something different?
These games are included in my previous books, but the format here is more open-and-go — easier for busy parents and teachers. You can see what they look like in the sample download.
Because the books are written directly to the player, children can read the instructions for themselves and start playing on their own.
Also, any stretch goal games we unlock will be new, not part of my original Math You Can Play books.

Do digital backers get the weekly bonus perks?
Yes, the bonus books are all digital. Everyone who backs any reward level gets all the perks that go live from their pledge date to the end of the campaign.

When will I get my reward?

** 8/3/2023 UPDATE: All the Kickstarter books have shipped. We still have some books in stock that you can order through the Preorder Store. Shipping time on those should be 1-2 weeks (in the US) until we run out of stock, and then about 3-5 weeks if we need to order more books from our UK printer. **

March 2023 — We’re waiting on Kickstarter to release the project funds. You should receive your Playful Math Tipsheet, “Gaming in the Enchanted Forest” coloring page, and the weekly bonus books by the end of March. I’ll send these downloadable files through BackerKit, so be sure to fill out your survey.

April 2023 — Meanwhile, I’ll be finishing up the last details on the layout and illustrations for the Math Game Booklets and any Stretch Goal games. As soon as the paperback files head to the printer, I’ll send out the digital editions to everyone who ordered those. You should receive all your digital book rewards through BackerKit by the end of April.

July 2023 — Finally, print books will go out as soon as I can get them. Printing is the area most prone to delays, and I can’t promise delivery by any particular date. But all paperback and spiral-bound book rewards should be in the mail by the end of July. (If you’re moving, you can update your mailing address up until two days before I start shipping packages.)

I live outside the United States. Can I still get the books?
Digital rewards are available worldwide.
For physical books and merchandise, I can offer shipping to a few countries with small-business-friendly tax laws:
- UK, for books only (no merchandise)
- European Union
- Canada
- Australia
- New Zealand
- South Africa
- and the US, as always
You may owe import duties and VAT before you can claim your package. I have no control over the customs clearance process in your country, so you might want to check with your local customs officials or post office for details on what to expect.

When will Preorder Store books arrive? Will digital be available sooner than printing?
If you shop at the Preorder Store, all the books are complete and ready to ship to you. Digital orders are available within a day or so, whenever I get onto the computer. (I have to manually accept the order before your credit card will be charged, but you can usually download your files within a few minutes after the charge goes through.)
I have a few paperbacks left after fulfilling the Kickstarter orders. If you order physical books, I may be able to fulfill them from what I have on hand, in which case you should receive your books in about a week if you’re in the US. (I live in a rural area and don’t make it to town every day, so there may be a slight delay before I get to the Post Office.)
If I run out of copies and have to order more books, then the order will take 3-5 weeks, since my printer is in the UK. They do a great job on the books, but international shipping still takes a while even in the modern age.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
